The Appeal
There are Ferraris and then there is this, a ‘one of one’ Onyx F2X Longtail with just 19,525 miles recorded from new. Just 30 ‘Longtails’ were built by well-known high-end European design house Onyx, and this car is the only one with a holographic carbon weave finish.
The Onyx reworking is all captured in the name. The ‘Longtail’ cleverly lengthens the stubby F12 Berlinetta’s rear end to deliver a sleeker look as a homage to the ‘longtail’ 60s GTs and racers. The extensive list of alterations is covered below and delivers an elevated, highly bespoke version of the already rare F12.
This car left the factory in 2013 and is naturally fitted with Maranello’s superlative F140 6.3l V12, which is good for 730bhp via a 7-speed DCT dual-clutch semi-automatic gearbox. The car is factory finished in metallic silver but was recently professionally wrapped in satin silver to protect the bodywork. This work includes some bespoke burgundy highlight features as can be seen in the photos. It is a very eye-catching and dramatic-looking car, an impression aided by the black 21in and 22in alloys, the Onyx Longtail modifications and those carbon fibre details.
The car comes to market with a full Ferrari service history and a current, advisory-free MOT to July 2025.

This is a very well kept car as you might expect of such an exclusive model. It left the factory in silver metallic, which it retains, but sports a satin silver wrap that was recently fitted to provide added protection for the paintwork.
This car is believed to be unique, being the only car fitted with the Onyx holographic carbon fibre weave trim. The effect is impressive, aided by black alloys which are in very good order.
Inside, there is a red leather cabin with various factory upgrades. It looks ‘showroom fresh’ with no obvious wear or signs of use. We are told that everything works correctly.
