Motodrome offer this 1966 example of the ever-popular Land Rover Series IIa, this one a mid-period petrol narrow-headlight model 88in soft top.
Fitted with: freewheel front hubs, 600x16 tyres, and towbar with electrics.
Inside it has 3 ‘deluxe’ seats across the front, a pair of twin rear benches in the load area (making it a 7 seater at a pinch) flat Smiths heater, and floor mats.
It’s fitted with a period-correct 252-prefix 2. 25 engine (probably the original) with recent Weber carburettor conversion
Odometer reading 63000m. We think this one is an older restoration, and the paintwork (although now pleasing patinated) has at least been properly sprayed rather than rollered or brushed. The door hinges however are Series 3 type for some reason.
Overall it’s a rather smart Series IIa that drives really well.
