MGB GT – 3 Owners (first for 42 years) & Overdrive
The MGB GT, designed by Pininfarina, was introduced in October 1965, and can claim to be one of the earliest sports hatchbacks to go into volume production. The rear deck offers excellent luggage space with a 2+2 option and improved aerodynamics gives the GT a top speed in excess of 100mph.
At Milestone Classics we are always looking for nice BGT’s and are delighted to market this very late MGB GT cherished by just three owners from new and a car that came to us in part exchange for another Milestone classic.
The first lady owner retained her BGT for 42 years - latterly the car was only driven to the MOT station and also spent a short period of time in storage before being sold.

On the road the car drives extremely well with the familiar MGB exhaust burble providing that classic driving soundtrack. She starts on the button with good oil-pressure, no untoward noises, excellent brakes, overdrive engages smoothly and all instruments function perfectly.
The bodywork presents very well – the true test of any restoration – with good paint, excellent panel fit and just the odd blemish commensurate with light use over the last 20 years.
The interior is very nice while the Webasto Sunroof is a lovely original option fitted from new that still functions well. A fussy owner might decide to budget for a new cover.
The history file contains the original ‘Passport to Service’. Drivers Handbook, lots of invoices from recent expenditure, pictures of the restoration, DVLA summary of previous owners etc.
The days have long gone when the BGT was the poor relation to the B Roadster. Good examples are highly prized and we have priced this car to sell quickly.
