MGB Roadster 3. 9 EFI V8 RV8 in Chrome bumper Heritage Shell
I offer for sale the following possibly Ultimate specification MGB. Built in approximately 1999 the car is a 1970 MGB Roadster in a new British Motor Heritage Body Shell. The car features the main running gear engine gearbox front and rear axle and ancillary fittings from a mid 1990's MGRV8
The car looks stunning in Dark Metallic Grey (Actually a Fiat colour) very close to MG Rover X Power grey to all areas of the car including the underside.
The interior is custom made with finest Wilton carpet RV8 seats and trims with full weather equipment including tonneau cover hood bag and Mohair RV8 syle hood. The RV8 specification hood does away with the quarter side windows for a neater top down fold.
Mechanically the front suspension cross member is RV8 with ball joints instead of Kingpins and vented brake discs and telescopic dampers.
Rear suspension is RV8 with Limited Slip Differential modified in axle and half=shaft width to fit within the confines of a MGB Body shell . The front and rear axles are correctly modified to accept centre lock splined wheels . The car is furnished with centre lock Minilite 15” wheels on Continental 195/ 65 x 15 tyres
The engine Gearbox exhaust system engine management and fuel system is all Rv8 including the through inner front wing tubular exhaust manifolds and system with catalytic convertors removed. In order to maintain a standard profile body line a Costello Engineering Inlet manifold Plenum chamber and Rocker covers were fitted to compliment the engine bay appearance.
I have looked after the car for the current owner for the last 7 years during which time the body was refreshed into its current condition 6 years ago and mechanically annually serviced. The recorded mileage since its new incarnation is just over 15, 500 miles in the last 22 years.
As can be seen the car wants for nothing and is a delight to drive with a highly desirable soundtrack to boot
