The Appeal
The T25 was the last of the classic rear-engined veedub vans, adding more space to the popular camper mix. Good ones, particularly with neat conversions and upgrades, build on the factory appeal.
This Caravelle GL initially served as a NHS transport vehicle before being converted to a camper in the 1990s. It is a really smart and clearly much-loved van finished in metallic blue with alloys and a well kept interior. Beneath the rear engine lid is a useful upgrade to Subaru’s powerful and well-regarded 2.2L EJ22 ‘Boxer’ petrol engine that makes light work of long distances and motorways. The well organised interior includes sink, hob, fridge and rock and roll bed.
The vendor acquired the van in 2016 and has enjoyed it in the summer whilst carefully dry storing it in the winter. That, plus some localised repairs and respray work, has preserved the condition. Other work includes regular servicing and fitting a stainless steel custom Powerflow exhaust in 2023.
Stylish, powerful and practical, this is a really appealing T25 conversion. It comes to market with MOT to September 2025 containing no advisories.
The vendor says:
“We love our beautiful van and we're sorry to see it go (due to our growing family) after nine happy years. We're excited to see it find a new lease of life with a new home. It's been so reliable, a pleasure to drive, and a pretty cool place to rest your head after a day of travelling.”
