Bought with a view to long term ownership only two years ago the car came in good mechanical shape, with a good service history but needing to be resprayed as the lacquer had begun to degrade.
Stage one complete, with new genuine Mercedes front wings and a full body re-spray in, the hard to miss, Imperial Red, the car now needs to have its original but a bit tired interior smartened up a bit, but this is where the story ends, and the next part of the car’s restoration will have to be down to its next owner due to lack of time issues.
The Interior

The interior is all original and it's all there, and only really lets itself down with its front seats, which are well worn and would certainly benefit from some reconditioning.
A JVC Bluetooth and CD radio has been fitted and the owner mentions that on occasion, the passenger window switch doesn’t always work so will need a new switch or investigating a loose connection.
The rear of the headlining has picked up some marking from the hood mechanism and could clean up nicely with the hood mechanism working nice and smoothly and without issue.

The recent professional full body re-spray in the car’s original colour of Imperial Red certainly makes this car stand out and it's only flaws are a tiny stone chip on the bonnet and a very small ding in the front grille.
Other than that it looks good and solid having had any corrosion properly dealt with only recently.
The hood was replaced around 10 years ago and has benefitted from being garaged as it still looks nice and clean with a good depth of colour, fitting tightly in all the right places.

Wheels and tyres are all good and overall the car cuts quite a dash.
The Mechanics

Its last full service was in 2014, with a recent change of oil and filters, as it’s done no real mileage lately.
All the previous advisories noted on the 2020 MOT do to with brake discs, brake pipes and shock absorbers have all been addressed and the current MOT shows no current advisories.

A nice and solid Mercedes 4-seater cabriolet that with some slight finishing touches to the interior will be a very nicely presented car all round.
