The Appeal

Nothing on wheels has ever had quite the impact of Henry Ford’s original Tin Lizzie. By putting wheels beneath the world, the Model T ushered in a social revolution. No surprise that good examples remain in demand with collectors, thanks to the model's simplicity and reliability.

This 1923 tourer has the slanted front screen and easy-to-operate roof fitted from this model year. It is a really smart example that was restored before the vendor acquired it a year ago. It remains in very good order, with just a few light points for buyers to note in photos. The work is said to have included refurbishing the roof, new paintwork and a retrimmed interior. The detailing is impressive, including the wooden spoked wheels with their classic Wards Riverside tyres.

The car has an electric starter and is said to run and drive well.
