The Appeal
The Fiat 1100 Barchetta Spider is among the more sought-after small-displacement Italian sports cars of the early 1950s. With elegant open bodywork built on the proven Fiat 1100 platform, these lightweight spiders combined spirited performance with unmistakable Italian style. Very few examples are believed to survive today, making any opportunity to acquire one noteworthy.
This 1953 example is offered as a non-running restoration project. It wears red paint that shows wear consistent with its age and period of dormancy, over a black interior. Prospective buyers should note that the car is sold with a bill of sale only.
