The Appeal
The MG TD is one of the most cherished British sports cars of the early 1950s, blending traditional pre-war styling with genuinely enjoyable road manners. With its upright grille, flowing wings, and characterful four-cylinder engine, it remains an icon of the era and a wonderful way to experience open-top motoring with period charm.
This dark blue example has been in its current owner's hands for seven years, during which time it has served as a reliable companion for regular outings and longer journeys. Previously residing in Guernsey for several years, it benefited from a body-off restoration some time ago, at which point the colour was changed from black to dark blue. More recently, a significant brake and suspension overhaul has been carried out. It is worth noting that the gearbox synchromesh is worn, requiring double de-clutching.
