The Appeal
The BN6 is the rarer two-seater variant of the Austin Healey 100/6 range, produced in considerably smaller numbers than its four-seater cousin, the BN4. Powered by the BMC's C-series six-cylinder engine, the BN6 combined increased refinement with the sporting character that defined the Big Healey, and remains one of the most sought-after models in the marque's lineage today.
This 1958 example is a matching-numbers car, verified by its accompanying certificate of authenticity, and has been imported from the United States. Finished in Colorado red with black sides, it sits on chromed wire wheels and features black leather trim with red stitching inside. Recent work carried out in 2025 included a carburettor overhaul, engine oil and filter change, replacement of the distributor block oil seal, and four new tyres. The vendor reports it runs well and rates the bodywork, paint, interior and mechanicals as very good. It comes complete with a soft top and side screens, and is offered on a Classic Vehicle Registration Document.
