The appeal
The Austin-Healey 3000 MkIII BJ8 represents the final evolution of the ‘Big Healey’ range. It combines a 3-litre straight-six engine with a four-speed manual gearbox featuring an overdrive, in a configuration designed specifically for long journeys.
This 1967 model was imported from the United States and, according to the information provided, has been owned by a single owner in France since 2014. Upon its arrival, the bodywork underwent restoration, including a full repaint in a two-tone red and cream colour scheme. A major mechanical overhaul was also carried out in 2014, focusing in particular on the brakes, front suspension, steering, ignition, gearbox, overdrive and the clutch hydraulic system.
The interior was then fully reupholstered in 2015, including the seats, door panels, carpets and soft top. The seller now describes the bodywork and paintwork as being in excellent condition.
Registered in France with a classic car registration certificate, this BJ8 comes with a file containing restoration and maintenance invoices as well as a valuation report. IMG_3071 Classic Cars Company.jpg4.03 MB
