The Appeal
Few cars are quite as intrinsic to the world of classic motoring as the MGB roadster and its Pininfarina-penned GT sibling. The early GTs are for the purists, retaining the seating, steering wheel, and badging, which have a certain delicacy compared to later models.
This 1967 BGT provides a chance to acquire and improve one of those original models. A useful BMIHT certificate confirms that the Teal Blue over black colour scheme is close to factory correct, and it also retains its factory-fitted features such as the painted wire wheels. The car is complete but will likely require some work to make it roadworthy. There is a comprehensive 2024 independent vehicle health check provided with the car and in the photos to give buyers transparency.
For the right enthusiast, this pretty early BGT represents an interesting project. With parts relatively inexpensive and readily available, and with an army of specialist repairers on hand, bringing it back to life will be far easier than for many other classics.
