The Appeal

When Gianni Agnelli commissioned Ghia to build him a bespoke port-side ‘tender’ to transport him in style from his yacht to local restaurants, shops and his villa, he unwittingly created a whole new class of car. This original, with its appropriately ‘Jolly’ name, has since spawned many replicas, all with the single goal of delivering more summer smiles per mile.

This lovely Jolly replica arrives with us fresh from a comprehensive professional restoration that we’re told covered bodywork, paintwork, interior, mechanicals and suspension. The smart dark blue Blu Scuro is a period colour and is paired with hand-made wicker seats. It is nicely detailed, including colour-coded steel wheels and bright chromework for bumpers and around the cutaway compartment. It features a blue and white striped removable canopy.

Recently completed, the car is described as ready to enjoy — whether on coastal roads, at a summer residence, as part of a collection, or as a promotional vehicle.
