Attractive, largely original SWB pickup in Marine Blue
Thoroughly restored, including disassembly and complete rebuild

Fully refreshed transmission and transfer case
Engine work and carburetor refurbishment carried out during the restoration
The appeal
As a classic car buyer, one often hopes to find a vehicle where all the tedious work has already been done by someone else. This is exactly the case here: a Series IIA from 1968, in the highly sought-after Marine Blue color, which recently benefited from a full “zero-to-hero” restoration, where, according to what we were told, everything was dismantled and rebuilt.
The photos speak for themselves and appear largely to be as-original. The paint is well presented and there is a tan canvas roof that looks barely used. The black vinyl interior for three seats is equally impressive. There are a few points to note in the photos, but nothing that seems beyond cosmetic.
The restoration included fitting a galvanized chassis, a full repaint, and a complete mechanical overhaul covering the engine, the gearbox, the transfer case and the carburetters. A 2024 MOT (now expired) is also available. Overall, this is a handsome example of these rugged and highly regarded vehicles.image.png1.72 MB
