The Appeal
The Series 2 E-Type brought together a raft of improvements that Jaguar had been gradually introducing since 1967. Aside from the well-known cosmetic changes, these cars got better seats, improved cooling and upgraded brakes. As the last of the original shape cars, these more comfortable cars are perfect for buyers who like to use their E-Types or are planning classic tours.
This Handsome Racing Green over tan leather ‘69 car is one of the earliest LHD Series 2 roadsters to have left the line. It returned to the UK in 2018, since when it has been extensively restored, including a switch to classic BRG. It remains in very good condition, with a few light cosmetic points to note in the photos.
As a later E-Type with the fully synchromesh manual box and LHD layout, it would make a great European touring car.
