This lot is part of The Blaauwbank Collection, an eclectic mix of vehicles spanning nearly a century of motoring. The collection showcases everything from practical classics to high-end collector cars, all carefully curated and stored in purpose-built, climate-controlled storage hangars in Central South Africa's arid climate.
For overseas buyers, this is an opportunity to acquire classic cars that have never been exposed to salted roads and the damp European climate.

The Appeal
The 1750 GTV is widely regarded as the most desirable of Alfa Romeo's legendary 105 Series Bertone Coupés. Its twin-cam 1,750cc engine strikes an ideal balance between the earlier 1300 and 1600 variants and the later 2000, offering a rev-happy character paired with a slick five-speed manual gearbox. Dressed in Bertone's iconic Giorgetto Giugiaro-penned lines, the 1750 GTV remains one of the most celebrated sports cars of its era.
This particular example is a rare right-hand drive car that has spent its life in the temperate Johannesburg climate. That dry environment appears to have served it well. Finished in the classic combination of Alfa Rosso over a Nero interior, it wears what many consider the definitive 105 Series colour scheme. With its numbers matching engine and factory original alloy wheels still in place, this appears to be a largely original car that presents exceedingly well for its age.
