The Appeal
For Beetle aficionados, this car’s ‘1302S’ badge says it all. These early '70s models got the larger 50bhp 1.6L air-cooled engine, plus improved front suspension and other modifications aimed at improving stability.
This 1972 RHD Karmann has been in the UK since 1974 and with its current enthusiast keeper since 2009. Around 10 years ago, between 2014 and 2016, it received a significant amount of investment covering bodywork, paintwork and a replacement engine. The work included a colour change to the fetching yellow you see in the photos.
The Karmann Beetle is one of classic motoring’s most stylish and reliable four-seat open top classics. This very tidy example gives the buyer the benefit of all that work.
