The Appeal
Whether you’re a fan of Carlo Abarth’s feisty 595 originals, or you’ve come to the marque via the modern Fiat factory Abarths, either way you’ll know what a unique proposition these cars are. Nothing quite so small delivers quite such big smiles.
The originals are very thin on the ground, so we welcome this highly detailed 595 Replica, known as Luigi. We’re told it was built using genuine Abarth parts by an Italian engineer for his sons. It’s believed to be one of two and appears to have been used, but sparingly, since completion.
As you can see in the photos, it is a pretty car finished in metallic blue with Abarth decals, chequered roof and a set of smart Abarth period Cromodora alloys. Inside the depth of the work continues with a fully retrimmed two-tone interior featuring bespoke analogue dials, bucket seats and Abarth stitching. Under the boot lid is a 595cc engine that we are told has been upgraded and features Abarth parts.
This fascinating little car arrived in the Uk in 2008 and with the current, second keeper in 2016. It’s in great order and a rare chance to acquire a 500 with a strong dose of extra special.
