The Appeal
The MGB GT V8 is rare and one of the most desirable variants of the iconic MGB, combining the elegant Pininfarina-penned GT body shell with the torquey Rover V8 engine. This factory V8 model offered a significant performance upgrade over the standard car, with the aluminium V8 engine actually weighing less than the original four-cylinder B Series unit, dramatically improving the car's power-to-weight ratio and handling balance.
This 1974 example stands out for its long ownership history, having remained with the same keeper for three decades. Presented in its original and distinctive Harvest Gold paintwork with contrasting black interior, this GT V8 offers the blend of classic British sports car styling with genuinely usable performance for modern driving conditions.image.png2.23 MB
