The Appeal
Early Range Rovers have never been more desirable. Enthusiasts seek out '70s three-door examples as it's these cars that adhere most closely to Spen King's original vision. It's a truly wonderful piece of design that still holds its own five decades on.
Here we have a largely original and well-preserved 1974 'Suffix C' Range Rover. Originally fitted with the Buick-derived (and rather thirsty) 3.5-litre Rover V8, it has been sensibly upgraded to a frugal, dependable, and torquey 2.8-litre Daihatsu diesel engine. Otherwise, the car would appear to adhere closely to its factory specifications. As the photographs attest, the Range Rover has undergone some repair work in the past and is presented in patinated, usable condition. The vendor demonstrates the engine to be in running order, ticking over contentedly.
Now it's time for a new custodian to either continue this car's preservation or embark upon a more ambitious restoration/restomod build.IMG_3740 Mohammad.jpeg3.79 MB
