The Appeal
One of the most iconic tourers ever built in Britain, the Stag took Michelotti styling and a burbling V8 to create a car of genuine distinction. It continues to be a fixture at car shows and rallies - and boasts one of the most influential Owner's Clubs in motoring. Parts availability is good, performance is impressive and it's very comfortable. In essence, it ticks all of the boxes.
This 1974 example has benefited from a thorough and well-considered restoration covering bodywork, trim and mechanical components. The body was stripped back to bare metal and resprayed, the interior has been extensively renewed, and a long list of mechanical items have been addressed. An XL aluminium radiator and header tank have been fitted to tackle the Stag's well-documented cooling concerns, and the engine is set up to run on lead-free fuel. Both the hard top and original push-button radio are included with the sale.
