Highlights
- Reported 7,876 miles from new supported by MOT history
- Early ‘rubber bumper’ car with classic ‘crackle’ dashboard
- Black leather interior piped red with matching carpets
- Tidy and usable B with scope to improve
The Appeal
The ‘rubber bumper’ B is going through something of a renaissance. Better built than its predecessor with more cossetting suspension, the aesthetics are being seen afresh as a clever integration of modern safety tech with classic lines.
The early cars like this one retained the classic ‘crackle’ dashboard. It is finished in smart red with lattice-style alloys, but its real calling card is its remarkably low mileage. The vendor reports that it has covered less than 8,000 miles from new. The odometer shows 7,876 miles and the MOT history strongly indicates that this could be correct. We can’t verify it but, if true, would make this car one of the lowest mileage Bs around.
The car is presentable with some cosmetic points to note in photos. The interior is in black leather with red piping and matching carpets.
