The Appeal
The Triumph Stag remains one of Britain's most distinctive and charismatic GTs. Boasting elegant Michelotti styling with the character of a home-grown V8 engine. It's perhaps one of the most iconic cars ever produced in Britain, and at car shows and rallies, you're likely to see a flotilla of the sports car lined up in grand formation.
This 1976 example comes with notable provenance, having been featured in the November 2017 Practical Classics buyer's guide, and benefits from an older restoration completed to a high standard with various panel replacements carried out. The car presents well today with rechromed or replaced bumpers, a cleaned and waterproofed roof, and its original interior intact with all instruments working.
The vendor reports that the V8 starts well and sounds excellent on the open road. Currently stored in a garage and attracting interest from passers-by, this Stag is ready and waiting for its lucky new keepers.image.png1.16 MB

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
