The Appeal
We love this late-model B Roadster. Some of Don Hayter’s masterpieces are shiny show cars for sparing use, which we admire, but others are driven and thoroughly enjoyed. This car firmly fits the latter category. There is scope to improve it, or sort the basics and hit the road.
As a 1977 car it began life as a ‘rubber bumper’ car but has been converted to chrome bumpers, the work even going as far as to fit the earlier crackle-finish dashboard. The red paintwork and bodywork shows signs of age and there are points to note in the photos. As a base line for buyers, the last voluntary MOT expired in 2020 when there were no advisories.
The car comes with a large history file of photos, invoices and MOTs and a useful spare boot lid with luggage rack. For the right buyer, this looks like an interesting project with the added advantage that any parts you need are easy and inexpensive to buy.
