The Story

The very year this remarkable Toyota BJ43 rolled off the production line, an identical example was selected by Thierry Sabine to handle reconnaissance and support missions for the inaugural Paris-Dakar rally, an expedition covering more than 10,000 kilometers across some of the planet's most demanding terrain. Given Toyota's reputation for reliability and ruggedness, this choice was a natural fit, and the vehicle proved more than equal to the task.
