The Appeal
The Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible is among the most glamorous models of the marque's repertoire to ever to leave the Crewe production line. For many, this was the centrepiece of the wealthy elite, and it was pretty common to see a celebrity, politician or high-ranking official proudly posed alongside, or sitting within, the car's upright, distinguished silhouette. With bespoke coachwork by Mulliner Park Ward and the ability to waft along in open-top splendour, the Corniche offered a more sporting, rakish proposition than its Silver Shadow-based saloon siblings and was clearly focused more on a driver-owner than a chauffeur.
This 1982 example is finished in Georgian Silver with a new blue mohair electrically operated roof and a matching dark blue and piped grey leather interior. Originally supplied to the US market, it was imported to the UK in 2016 and has had just one former registered keeper on the V5, with the current owner taking custody in 2019. Over £20,000 has reportedly been invested in the car in recent years, including a £6,000 service carried out earlier in 2026.
