The Appeal
The durability, simplicity and accessibility of the Volkswagen Beetle were quickly recognised by hot-rodders and car enthusiasts alike, making the Beetle an excellent basis for adaptations and conversions.
Perhaps the most famous conversion is the original Myers Manx beach buggy, with original Myers conversions now highly prized and collectable, with prices to match. The VW Beach Buggy on offer here offers you much of that appeal.
Originally registered in 1985, the seller tells us this buggy has undergone extensive recent restoration to both the body and running gear, including a reconditioned engine and gearbox.
A VW-based buggy like this offers incredibly accessible open-top fun with low running costs. Whether you’re on the beach, a local green lane, or even down the pub with friends, this buggy’s bound to put a smile on your face.
The seller reports:
“The chassis / floor pan (previously shortened and strengthened by previous owner) has been repaired and protected with 2 Part Epoxy Resin (Raptor Coat). The shell has been repaired where necessary and re-painted in Rosso Red and the interior trimmed in Mohair on front and rear seats”.
