What makes it special
The Quadrifoglio Verde sits at the very top of the Alfa Romeo Spider Series 3 range. It stands out thanks to its unique interior, its exclusive color palette, and a limited run of just 2,692 examples produced between 1986 and 1989. Offered only in Alfa Red or Metallic Grey, it remains one of the most sought-after versions of this iconic Italian cabriolet today.
This left-hand-drive Metallic Grey example is registered in France and shows 76,291 km on the odometer. Its history is backed up by documented records of technical inspections. The paintwork was redone in 2021 following hail damage. The seller states that the dents were carefully hand-straightened before the respray.
Inside, the cabin retains its grey seats with red stitching, as well as its original red carpets. The seller indicates that everything remains consistent with its original configuration.
The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder inline Twin Cam engine has benefited from regular servicing. The car is accompanied by a substantial history file including invoices, MOT/technical inspection records, the FFVE collection file, copies of old registration documents, as well as period sales brochures.cc-1987alfaromeospider-0002.jpg585.7 KB
Documents: registration certificate, current valid technical inspection, history of technical inspections with odometer readings, service booklet, invoices, FFVE collection file and period brochures
This sale is subject to Car & Classic’s general terms and conditions. By bidding and/or making an offer, you also agree to the following:
✓ The seller is registered as a private seller, meaning that consumer rights arising from European consumer protection legislation do not apply. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic’s terms and conditions.
✓ We require non-refundable fees to be paid if you are the successful bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted. Please refer to our FAQs and terms and conditions for the specific fees.
✓ This vehicle is “sold as seen”, on a “take it or leave it where it stands” basis and without any warranty. The photos and descriptions are provided for guidance only, and it is customary to arrange a full inspection of the vehicle before purchase for your own peace of mind.
✓ VAT is included in the buyer’s deposit. VAT may or may not be included in the final price of the bid or submission, as specified in the listing.
✓ We want to make sure the transaction runs smoothly, just like you do, which is why UK-registered cars and motorcycles listed on Car & Classic are subject to an HPI check to verify that they do not show any basic insurance database markers for damage or theft, and that they are not subject to a financial charge, so you can bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of a total loss claim when the listing goes live on Car & Classic, and we provide category labels for the write-off (Cat C/D/S/N) to help you. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worth carrying out a full vehicle history check before making a bid.
✓ Buyers are responsible for collecting or arranging delivery of the vehicle. Importing vehicles may result in additional customs duties and import taxes. If you’d like, we can recommend a third-party shipping company to help. For more details and to speak with the team, email auctions@carandclassic.com.
