The Bentley Turbo R was a rolling billboard that sent quite the message: Bentley was eagerly stepping into a new era. These were surprisingly imposing machines that felt cutting-edge and thoroughly modern, powered by a big turbo V8 and proudly boasting a palatial interior. With its turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 producing enough punch for a claimed 0–60 mph time of six seconds, it was reputedly the fastest four-door sedan of its era.
This 1989 example is finished in rare Brooklands green over a matching green leather interior, quintessentially retro and super distinctive. It has been in the current owner's care for approximately seven years, during which time it has been driven regularly on short trips to keep everything in good working order. A stamped service book records regular maintenance at Bentley main dealers and, more recently, at a local specialist. Recent work has included new tires, an air conditioning upgrade, replacement window seals, and the installation of a new central locking and immobilizer system.
