The Appeal
With its beautifully balanced, front-engined, rear-wheel-drive layout and sleek, unmistakably 80s lines, the 944 is rightly regarded as one of the best sports cars of its era—despite what 911 purists may have told you, it was more than capable of outperforming the 911 comfortably, and even more so when it came to sales. Up until the Boxster, it was one of the most successful models in the marque’s history.
As the final model year, this example benefits from all the upgrades previously reserved for the limited-run Turbo S. Finished in the rare Glacier Blue Metallic, it features the highly sought-after blue leather and pinstripe trim, plus electric seats, windows, mirrors and sunroof. The dashboard has been removed and retrimmed in leather.
The bodywork has been subject to a bare-metal restoration and repaint in its original color. Mechanically, the car has recently been serviced by Eporsche, with belts, tensioners and water pump renewed, and fresh fluids, filters and plugs fitted in June 2026. The brakes, suspension and wheels have also been recently refurbished. A comprehensive history file accompanies the car, and the most recent MOT was passed with no advisories. A private registration plate is included in the sale.
