The Appeal
The third generation Supra pushed the model further into the luxury grand tourer space occupied by Porsche’s 928. This was a car built to munch miles as relaxed and effortless as possible. Today these stylish, reliable 2+2 coupes are a chance to immerse yourself in the retro cool of the 80s with a big, comfy sports car that has few modern equals.
This 1989 naturally aspirated Supra is finished in silver with a nicely preserved and unmodified blue velour interior. The exterior is accented with a set of aftermarket five-spoke alloys, but otherwise it is standard. Under the long bonnet, with its classic pop-up lights, sits Toyota’s reliable 3L 7M-GE straight-six 201bhp engine, mated to a relaxing 4spd auto box.
The car has covered few miles since a raft of work in the late Noughties and comes with MOT to early September 2026. There are a few points for the buyer to note on the last test.
For the right buyer, this is a chance to add value to a well-regarded Toyota coupe.
