It has averaged just 1,000 miles a year since it rolled off the forecourt in 1989, as the first keeper of over thirty years used it solely for local journeys. The car has been garaged from new and judiciously maintained, making it one of the best original 740s you’re ever likely to encounter.

The Volvo caught the eye of ‘Hairy Biker’ Si King back in 2021, who made the rare switch from two wheels to four and became its second registered keeper. Since then, the 740 has undergone recommissioning work and has benefitted from more regular use. Complete with an MOT valid until October 2024, and reportedly serviced within the last 500 miles, this Volvo is ready to be enjoyed by a new custodian.

The plastic bumpers have accrued some patina over time with the odd small scuff on the corners, but no notable damage
Some light kerb damage to the wheel trims that are otherwise in fine condition
