The Appeal
A well-specified E30 convertible could just be the perfect open-top classic. Four seats, a slinky straight six engine, a decent boot and BMW quality and driver engagement all add up to a compelling summer package.
This 1990 320i ticks the specification box with its attractive Malachite Green paintwork, beige leather M Sport interior, Basketweave alloys and that 130bhp straight six. There is also an auto box to make those spring, summer and autumn drivers even more relaxing.
This is a tidy and very usable E30 that comes with a vast history file amassed by its handful of keepers. The current one acquired the car in 2020 and has continued to maintain it and garage it as previous keepers have done. It was serviced and received new drop links in August 2025 and undersealed in September. The MOT runs to August 2026.
This is the sort of E30 convertible you can jump in and drive. There is scope to improve it over the winter if you wish, ready for those spring sunshine drives.
The vendor says:
“It's beautiful to drive, always turns heads, and I have been stopped on many an occasion by enthusiasts to talk about it or for photographs. You are driving a powerful, impressive yet comfortable sports car. The colour is amazing, on a sunny day with the roof down I feel on top of the world.”
