Rebuilt Defender resto-mod with off-road improvements
Built on galvanised chassis
200TDi engine
Thousands of pounds worth of invoices
Less than 5,000 miles since substantial rebuild completed
THE APPEAL
Directly descended from the original 1948 utility Land Rover, the Defender was the last of the 4x4 manufacturer’s truly classic models and has a thriving cult following – even more so since production ceased in 2016 and the truck developed a classic following to go with the enthusiast billing it had enjoyed for so long already.
This one is a 1992 Defender 90, but it has been fully rebuilt on a galvanised chassis in the spirit of a restomod – modified at the point of restoration, essentially a ground-up rebuild, converted from a station wagon to an adventure-equipped off-roader or green laner.
It comes with a massive file of bills and invoices going back to 2007, with the majority of restoration work and new chassis being fitted in 2017. It’s an incredible thing with huge specification – and it looks the part, too!

SUMMARY
If you want a Defender that’s pretty much ready for anything then look no further. This one is a fantastic machine – fully prepared for adventure, with a fortune having been spent on it, and all brilliantly well executed. It’s a massive amount of fun and it really looks the part, too, while it’s also far more comfortable than a standard Defender thanks to those interior modifications.
This one is achingly cool, as well as a sound long-term investment.
