The Appeal
It took an idea by Swiss coachbuilder Monteverdi to revolutionise the Range Rover. Without the switch to five doors, it’s arguable whether the model would have survived.
Early five-door ‘Classics’ are amongst the most collectable 4x4s around. And with good reason - they are as stylish as they are usable. This 1992 3.9L V8 is one of the nicest we’ve seen in a while. The impressive is helped by a particularly attractive Ardennes Green metallic over Dark Chocolate leather colour combination. The rare TWR factory-fitted body kit is a tasteful extra tick in the desirability box.
It is in really good order, presenting well across the usual areas you’ll want to check on any Classic Range Rover. Since 2024 it has received a new aluminium tailgate and floor wells plus extensive maintenance by specialist Bishops Heritage. It is largely factory standard except for upgrades to high lift cams and a ported cylinder head.
The thick history file indicates caring use by its handful of keepers. It carries a reassuringly long MOT valid to May 2026. A great opportunity for fans of these ground-breaking 4x4s.
