The Appeal
For those who found the E36 M3 a little too raw, there was Alpina’s excellent B3. Equally quick, it offered a more balanced blend of performance, handling and comfort. It’s extremely rare too - this 1994 coupe is number 87 of less than 800 believed built and only 55 were RHD.
It is a really lovely, well-kept example in Morea Green with an original Alpina charcoal fabric interior. Alongside the Alpina-tweaked 3L 250bhp engine there is the firm’s innovative Switchtronic semi-automatic 5spd gearbox that presaged the contemporary units that are the default option for modern sports cars.
The history file shows regular servicing by the handful of keepers. There is a long list of recent work including a full service, alloy wheels refurbished with new tyres fitted, new headlining, suspension and brake overhaul including discs and calipers. The engine has received new head gasket plus water pump, thermostat, and radiator. The current MOT runs to June 2026.
Rare and certainly rewarding, this car will appeal to the many Alpina enthusiasts we know are out there.
The vendor says:
“Original collectors rare item now full History only 3 owners in last 20 years very good condition.”
