The Appeal
Such was the enduring demand for Jaguar’s super-smooth V12 that, even three decades after its introduction, the firm continued to improve it. The final roll of the dice was the engine fitted to this car, the larger 6.0-litre unit that increased power over the 300bhp threshold and delivered supercar-quick performance.
Just 772 6L V12 coupes are reported to have been built between 1992 and 1996, which makes this smart Emerald Green car a rare find. It is in good order with factory standard features retained, including the polished alloys fitted to these cars. Inside and out, it is well preserved and in good order for a 32-year-old car. The current MOT supports this - it runs to July 2026 with no advisories. The vendor has told us that the head gasket, radiator and crankshaft pulley were replaced around four years ago. The a/c system was also repaired at the same time. In around 2023 all spark plugs were replaced together with the fuel pump. We're told that this work was done by specialists The Jag Workshop and Waytune Auto.
The XJS is a really versatile and usable GT. This rare model would work as a show car or touring companion.
