The Appeal
The Morgan 4/4 is one of the longest-running production cars in history, a hand-built, ash-framed British sports car that has remained true to its roots for decades. These endlessly charismatic roadsters are often heralded as the best of British coachbuilding, and certainly amongst the most long-lived cars ever to enter production - after all, the 4/4 was rolling out of Malvern for over 70 years!
Purchased in 2017, this Morgan has been comprehensively refurbished by its current owner. The bodywork has been resprayed in metallic blue, with new bumpers, inner wings and a bulkhead fitted. It sits on new stainless steel wire wheels shod with new tyres, and a brand new double duck hood, leather tonneau cover and hood frame cover have been installed. Inside, the interior has been fully reupholstered with leather seats and trimmed carpets, complemented by a refinished walnut veneer dashboard and a leather Mota Lita steering wheel.
Mechanically, the car has benefited from a new clutch, rear crankshaft seal and timing belt, along with upgraded shock absorbers and front brake callipers. Garage-stored throughout the current ownership with very little use, it's now ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper.image.png1.49 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
