The Appeal

With its bonded aluminium chassis, minimalist cabin and featherweight construction, the Lotus Elise is rightfully the stuff of legend - the perfect summation of Colin Chapman's ethos of "simplify, then add lightness". It's a fearlessly single-minded, utterly thrilling road car that continues to garner endless admiration.

This 1998 Elise has been in the hands of its current keeper since August 2016, used sparingly as a fair-weather companion and carefully stored during the intervening years. Finished in red with a black soft top and silver alloy wheels, it's a very handsome car that's bound to garner attention at your local rallies and shows. The next owner may wish to carry out a fresh service or light recommissioning, given its limited recent use, but other than this, it's reportedly ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper.
