The Appeal
The Arnage was amongst the first cars released during a much-publicised battle between Volkswagen and BMW, which resulted in the first iteration - the 'Green Label' - carrying a sweet, smooth-running V8 from the house of Bavaria, which, while impressive, was perhaps not what a Bentley aficionado would favour. The Red Label iteration of the Arnage heard the feedback and brought in the familiar, ever-muscular 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8 that's become so synonymous with this era of the marque's repertoire, and remains the more favoured machine.
This particular example is finished in the rarely seen Amethyst Pearlescent / Azure Purple, which, for our money, is amongst the best of the car's colour-schemes.
