The Appeal
The 4200GT marks key starting and ending points in Maserati’s history: the first Ferrari-engined car and the last available with three pedals. It is also beautiful, and with an exhaust note that makes you seek out nearby tunnels, these grand tourers offer tasteful alternatives to more common German and British models.
This 2004 car is one of only 214 RHD cars built with that final 6-speed manual gearbox. The car’s five keepers have kept the mileage down to just 51,000 miles, supported by MOT records and 14 stamps in the service book. The current keeper acquired the car in 2014 and has replaced the clutch and bearings since. The car has covered very few miles since its last service in 2024, and it comes with an advisory-free MOT to August 2027.
There are a few cosmetic points to note, but this rare car presents as a well-maintained and very tidy 4200GT.
The vendor says:
“Excellent mechanical condition with a great service history. The car drives extremely well. This is an excellent example and not the average old Maserati.”
