The Appeal
The Lupo is, put simply, fun. This lightweight - 1015kg - hot hatch boasted a surprisingly muscular 1.6-litre straight-four and stuck to the road like glue, belying its diminutive proportions and becoming an almost instant cult classic - practically purpose-built for whizzing up and down twisty B-Roads and proving endlessly engaging with every mile.
This 2004 example has had just two former registered keepers and has been in the current owner's care since 2013, when it was acquired with approximately 14,000 miles on the clock. The car was in regular use until 2017, after which it was garaged and stored, with regular servicing, MOTs, and short runs to keep everything in working order. The vendor describes it as great fun to drive and considers it one of the best remaining Lupo GTi examples, owing to its specification, mileage, and registration plate.
The vendor states the bodywork presents well for its age, with only a small area of corrosion noted in the corner of the bonnet plus the bottom of the door. The interior is described as being in very good condition, with care taken to preserve the leather seats and original OEM VW mats throughout the storage period.image.png1.52 MB
