The Appeal
This 21 year old 997.1 sticks firmly to the maxim ‘it’s only new once.’ With barely more than 4,500 miles on the odometer, it is about as close to ‘brand new showroom’ spec as you can surely hope to get.
It is also the early 997 that you want - a Carrera S that ups engine size to 3.8L and power to 355bhp. There’s manual 6spd gearbox too. The Seal Grey metallic paintwork and black leather interior look barely used. The seller described the car as ‘concours’ and, looking at the photos, we can see why.
The service history and MOT records support the mileage. It has been maintained by main dealers and specialists, with the most recent service in June 2025 at 4,505 miles. We’re told that the brake discs and pads and tyres have been recently changed. The current MOT runs to April 2026 with no advisories.
This is a collector-grade car that ticks all the right boxes - spec, mileage, maintenance and condition. You can’t buy a new 997, but this is about as close as you can get.
The vendor says:
“As new condition, in all original, a new set of tyres and brake discs and pads were changed, serviced and in beautiful condition.”
