The Appeal

Even among the many Impreza special editions, the RB320 stands out. Re-engineered by Prodrive, built to celebrate the remarkable life of WRC winner Richard Burns and built in tiny numbers for UK customers, these cars marked the swansong of the lauded ‘Hawkeye’ generation. For the initiated, the RB320 was fettled by Prodrive to deliver 316bhp, up 40bhp on the standard WRX STI, and featured the Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP), Obsidian Black Pearl paintwork, special 18in ‘RB’ alloys, front spoiler and STI Quickshift gearbox.

For all those reasons, enthusiasts clamour after good ones. And this car, number 314, is exactly that. Bought by the seller early last year, it is a factory-standard RB320 with low miles, only four keepers, and in very good order. The service book shows a run of regular attention by main dealers and independent specialists. The most recent service was in May 2025 by Subaru experts DCY Europe and included a cambelt change. Other work includes a set of quality Pirelli PZeros all round. The car has barely moved since then and has been carefully dry stored. We’re told the previous keeper also dry-stored it.

With less than 100 RB320s currently taxed and road legal, the arrival of this one is a vanishingly rare opportunity for collectors. Widely seen as a ‘jackpot car’ because of its Prodrive and Burns connections, this is a very special example of a quite special car. The vehicle also benefits from an MOT until August 2027.
