The Puma-era Defender 90 XS was the final, most evolved iteration of the iconic Defender before production ceased, cinching that little bit closer to refined, luxury comfort while maintaining the openly rugged, industrial nature that made the model a legend. The XS trim, finished here in the sought-after Tamar Blue with a black roof rack, offered the highest level of factory specification available.
This particular example has been in the hands of an enthusiast whose philosophy has taken on something of the Ship of Theseus: preserving the exterior's authentic character while modernising the interior for everyday comfort and usability. Having been stored for six years in a temperature-controlled environment, it has recently been recommissioned with considerable mechanical and cosmetic investment.
A new turbocharger has been fitted, along with fresh pinion seals and transfer box seals, whilst the exterior has benefited from professional colour correction with ceramic coating, a new front bumper, and brand-new tyres. Inside, the two-seater cabin has been transformed with new Exmoor Trim seats and trim, full soundproofing, a 10-inch Stinger HEIGH10 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a premium surround-sound audio setup. As you have touch up paint available is this some that was left from some paintwork being carried out? Has there been paintwork done?

The seatbelts were removed. Yes, I do still have some touchup paint left as for what was done. the front window hinge and before me a door hinge had been done. as you can see, it was unsightly But very minimal. painting done, as I believe the original paint is beautiful and retains more value than a re-spray

Is the chassis original? Has it ever been welded/repaired? Has the bulkhead had corrosion or repair work? And can you provide photographs of the underside/rear crossmember before it was repainted?

Thanks, that’s a good question. No, it was originally a station wagon, so the windows are all original. I removed the seats for my dog, and they are no longer available.
