The R230-generation Mercedes-Benz SL is widely regarded as the last of the true grand SL roadsters: a car that married effortless luxury with real sportiness, all wrapped up in that clever folding aluminum hardtop. The SL550, with its naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 producing 382 hp, sits at the top of the line and offers a blend of smooth, muscular performance and refined cruising capability.
