The Appeal
The earliest examples of the second generation A3 may be well over 20 years old, but it remains a common sight on British roads with good reason: well built, good quality, practical and economical, these study cars are a safe and reliable buy.
This 2009 2L TDI SE has covered little over 39,000 miles from new, making its 140bhp engine barely run in. It is the elevated SE specification and fitted with the versatile ‘DSG’ gearbox that delivers full auto or sequential shift options.
Finished in light blue with contrasting wrapped roof, the car is in good condition outside and across its hardwearing grey fabric cabin. The vendor bought the car recently intending to retain it, but plans have changed. He tells us that it was serviced and received a new timing belt and water pump just before purchase. It comes to market with lengthy MOT valid to the end of April 2026.
The vendor says:
“This vehicle has a low mileage for its age and performs and drives as if it was when new. I intended to keep this vehicle for a long period but have been unable to sell my old car.”
