Highlights
- Rod bearings and throttle actuators already replaced, we are told – two key preventative maintenance items for the S65 engine
- Well-specified with over £8,000 in factory options including Electronic Damper Control (EDC)
- Documented service history with multiple recorded entries
The Appeal
The E93 is the convertible expression of BMW's fifth-generation M3, powered by the S65 4.0-litre naturally aspirated V8, an engine revered for its free-revving character and stirring exhaust note. Paired with the seven-speed M DCT dual-clutch transmission, it delivers rapid, precise shifts that complement the high-revving powertrain, while the factory-fitted Electronic Damper Control provides versatility between comfort and aggression.
This 2009 car in Space Grey Metallic over black Novillo leather appears to be a very good example. Crucially, two of the S65's most commonly discussed preventative maintenance items, the rod bearings and throttle actuators, have reportedly been addressed. The vendor reports the car starts first time and drives smoothly. Regularly maintained and cared for inside and out, this E93 M3 presents as a well-kept example of one of BMW's most characterful modern performance cars.
