The Appeal
Extremely well built and equally strong and rugged, Mitsubishi’s Shogun is the doyen of the show horse and caravanning set, and with very good reason. These big, plush trucks go on and on, providing high levels of luxury and comfort while they do so.
Not that this 2010 Exceed appears to have been put to work. Judging by the condition of the paintwork and interior, it seems to have led a very easy life and remains in fine condition. It is the top specification Exceed model with the durable 6G72 3L petrol V6 petrol engine. Painted ice white metallic with a highly preserved cream fabric cabin, it looks barely half its 16 years. The specification includes seven seats - the rear are removable - and large panoramic glass roof.
This is likely because it spent its life in Japan to 2025, a nation famous for its attention to maintenance and salt-free roads. The underside of this Pajero is a testament to that. It’s a view supported by the MOT which runs to March 2027 and contains no advisories.
You could stick a tow bar on this and put it to work. But it feels too good for that. Perhaps better to enjoy a luxurious alternative to the more common and perhaps less reliable home-grown alternatives.
