The Appeal
The California may have brought back a classic nameplate, but in all other respects it was something very new - the firm’s first front-engined V8 and entirely new folding hard top all signalled that this was a Ferrari for customers who wanted to use and enjoy their cars daily. Powered by a sonorous 4,297cc naturally aspirated V8 and mated to a rapid-fire seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, it is every inch a classic Maranello product.
The current collector-keeper acquired this 2012 Rosso Corsa car in 2022 and tells us that it has always been garaged. It is in good order and nicely specified too, including the expensive carbon-backed racing seats. The low mileage is backed by an impressive service history showing a run of servicing by Ferrari main dealers to 36,000 miles. The car’s MOT will need renewed by the buyer before it hits the road again.
